Overview
Tiga Europe was tasked with creating various roof gardens at the Housing Association development. Built on the site of a former printing press and adjacent locally-listed public house, Woodgrange Road is a mixed tenure development with commercial space on the ground floor provides 160 new homes, 80 for rent and 80 for private sale. The façade of the public house has been restored and retained as part of the development. The communal area includes a children’s play area and water feature. The roof gardens to the 5th & 6th Floor are intensive with seating details and planters, while in Block C Tiga Europe created a sedum roof.
With the help of Tiga Europe the development won the Best Shared Ownership Scheme – Highly Commended Daily Telegraph Your New Home Awards 2008 Woodgrange Road. Tiga Europe Ltd carried out all of the structural waterproofing within the site and assisted the design throughout.
